STEP 1

 Pick a Hat Shape

Rose Petal Pinch

 

This crown style is a twist on a classic pinch shape. The folded front brings an unexpected modern asymmetrical twist to a classic, well loved style.

Classic Pinch

 

This classic style can be identified by the tear drop shaped crown.

 

Gambler

 

This style has an oval and more flat top than other shapes.

To change it up, try adding 1 or 2 folds along the sides to change up this classic style with something more unique and softer.

Soft Top Pinch

 

Pinch styled front with no defined rise in the center making this style of hat a softer, less defined shape over all bringing the attention to the sharp pinch front.

 

Brick Top

 

Get western with this well loved classic cowboy shape. This rectangular top is a great balance for a wide western brim.

Step 2: Pick a Base Color

Keep It Neutral

 

Picking a neutral color base such as black, camel, brown and silver belly allow the easiest transition into any wardrobe. These base colors are a staple that allow all the accent bands, flowers, stitching, feathers and cards that you pick to pop and take center stage.

Live in Color

 

You may or may not wear a hat everyday... but when you do, you know it's the most important part of the outfit. This is a great way to make a statement, incorporate your favorite color, make it half a pop of color half neutral, give it beautiful distressed texture, add dimension, there is just so much opportunity for color. Don't know how to make it happen? Don't worry, we will talk about what will best suit you.

 

Step 3: Accessorize

 

Add additional details layering fabric/leather bands, bundle feathers/flowers, stitch the crown/edges, add chains and rhinestones, leather/twine wraps, matches and other details.
